Ken Barlow has issued a Minnesota’s Weather Authority Alert for possible severe weather later today — Maplewood Sports news

Ken Barlow has issued a Minnesota’s Weather Authority Alert for possible severe weather later today By KSTP Good Wednesday morning!Minnesota’s Weather Authority has issued an Alert for today due to possible severe thunderstorms this afternoon and early evening.A line of showers and thunderstorms will develop to the west of the Twin Cities around midday. These storms will intensify and move into the west metro area after 3 pm.Storms will move through the metro during the afternoon and evening drive. Heavy rain at times, hail, wind gusts over 60 mph and isolated tornadoes are all possible.Today will also be the warmest day of the week.Temperatures this afternoon will quickly rise well into the 60’s and lower 70’s across the state.Keep in mind that normally at the end of October our afternoon temperatures reach only the lower 50s.Thursday and Friday will be the brightest days of the week with temperatures rising into the 50s and 60s once again.Halloween on Saturday does not look too bad. I think there will still be a few rain showers at times, but there will not be a washout. We’ve seen all kinds of temperatures on Halloween; this one looks mild with temperatures near 60 when the sun sets at 6 PM.Don’t forget to ‘fall back’ an hour before going to bed Halloween night as Daylight Saving Time ends at 2 AM Sunday.Have a nice day!Ken
